Who Am I?
Byron Myers
I am a business coach, personal coach, consultant, speaker, author, educator, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of human interaction experience.
I hold a Master’s degree in Human Communication from Abilene Christian University. I have been a Teacher, Athletic Coach, and Principal for over 26 years. During my Athletic Coaching days, I amassed over 500 wins in various sports and lead my Girls Softball Teams to 6 Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) State Championships. During that time I had also been leading, mentoring, and coaching teachers, colleagues, parents, and students to be the best they can be.
I have worked with several different companies, CEOs, middle managers, business teams, entrepreneurs, and individuals leading them to be successful, stronger leaders in their own world. I am a certified Weekend Leader and Facilitator for The Crucible Project; a men’s ministry committed to helping men be authentic and live with integrity in order to lead their families and others in their world.
I reside in Midland, Texas with my wife Kathy. I have three children a son Reed and two daughters Brailyn and Taite.
My personal mission statement is: To lead people daily to see and apply their God-given goodness and talents so that they may live powerful, authentic lives and lead others around them to do the same.
What I Value:
-
Authenticity. Be who you are, and fit it into what you do.
-
Integrity. Keep agreements or re-negotiate them.
-
Honesty. Be real, speak your intentions.
-
Improvement. Always strive to be better.
-
Competence. Know what you are doing. If you don’t know, then learn.
-
Potential. Let’s unlock what is already there but being unused.
-
Time management and efficiency. Get the most out of the time you have.
-
Application. Apply what is learned into everyday situations.
-
Excellence. Everything you do, do it well.
-
Consider others. How does what you do impact others?
-
Vision. Keep the high-level view in mind while working at surface level.
Personal Note:
As I am working with you, my personal values will be evident but not overbearing. I love Jesus and follow God. I am a Bible believer. I am not here to thump you over the head with the Bible. I am not here to “evangelize” anyone. It is my belief that if I live my life, as the man God made me to be, then my life will show this belief and possibly those around me will ask. I will not judge you, nor steer you in any particular religious direction. If I were not a Christian I would still find value in the wisdom and Biblical principles found in Psalms, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, as well as the teachings of Jesus. Whether or not you believe in Him, He was wise and His teaching is universal. Bottom line...I am here for you and will use many different methods and references in order to help you become who you want to be.
